‘A stylish getaway for couples fleeing the rat race: elegant rooms and tranquil gardens a short stroll from an amazing secret beach’

Telegraph

‘Hooppells Torr, a luxurious sanctuary in the midst of rural south Devon, is just a short walk from Wonwell, the local’s favourite beach. Two exquisite rooms have been thoughtfully designed with period features, antique furniture, reclaimed wood and striking fabric headboards as a centrepiece.’

‘Style in South Devon’

‘Jeeva, the owner of the 18th-century farmhouse, Hooppells Torr, is ex-Firmdale. That's one of London's trendiest hotel brands, so rooms are vibrant and colourful but come with beams and country views that you just don't get in the English capital. There's a dinky beach within walking distance and rolling hills beyond, though you could just gaze at Dartmoor from the flower-filled garden. Breakfast is in the conservatory and cooked on the Aga, with thick and smoky streaky bacon and organic eggs, fresh from the local farm.’

‘Elegant, luxurious country B&B on Devon's south coast, set amid beautiful mature gardens. Two stunning bedrooms and stylish en-suites with all the luxuries you'd expect from a five star establishment. Aga-cooked breakfasts. No restaurant, but plenty close by.’
